• Film Schäfer Ticket Giveaway! The Embassy of Canada, in cooperation with Polyfilm, is giving away two tickets for the screening of Schäfer. The film is currently showing at Filmcasino, De France, Village, and Votivkino in Vienna, as well as Paradiso St. Pölten and Paradiso Baden, until mid-October 2025.
  
  We will hold a draw for these tickets (one winner will receive two tickets). If you would like to enter, please send an email to secretarygeneral@austria-canada.com.

• October 20, 2025: Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner @ Marriott Hotel, Parkring 12a, 1010 Wien: Join us as we welcome our guest of honour, Ambassador Alison Grant. • October 30, 2025: New location!! ACS General Assembly will take place at Das1090, Bauernfeldplatz 2, 1090 Wien @ 18:00. 
  The Board of the Society will report on the events, finances, and general state of affairs of the organization. Members (only) are encouraged and welcomed to participate, raise concerns, support, and offer suggestions for the future. Please let us know if you are attending: eckilam@gmail.com

• November 16, 2025: John Depuis's Piano Evening  from 19:00 - 21:00 in the Festsaal (2nd floor) @ Haus der Ingenieure - Palais Eschenbach. Entry to the hall at 18:30.
  Join us as we listen to John, a Canadian pianist, play magnificent classics and contemporary pieces from Canadian composer Alexina Louie.  Tickets not sold in advance will be available at the door for 40 €. Special price for ACS members when bought in advance.  A complimentary glass of wine will be offered after the performance, courtesy of ACS. • November 29, 2025: United Nations Women's Guild (UNWG) Bazaar, 10:00 - 17:00 @ Austria Center -near the United Nations, Kaisermühlen-VIC U1 station). This year our Canada booth will be selling maple syrup, maple cookies, crepes, something savoury, cold drinks (Canada Dry / Moosehead Beer), some new goodies, and homemade baking/snacks. If you are able to contribute baking or volunteer your time, please contact Patti @ vogrigp@gmail.com

• Remember: Saturdays @ 9:00 Parkrun Donaupark, 1220: A free, weekly, timed 5km event, every Saturday morning at 09:00 at parks all over the world, communities gather to improve their physical and mental health by walking, jogging or running 5 kilometres or by volunteering to make these events possible. Simply register here for free and you will receive a unique barcode. This barcode is your ‘passport’ to all parkruns across the globe.
