Who are we
The Austrian-Canadian Society was founded in 2003 and considers itself to be a bilateral friendship society according to the general mission and vision of the "Dachverband aller Österreichisch-Ausländischen Gesellschaften - PaN". Therefore, it is open to everybody who tries to improve the bilateral relationships between Austria and Canada in a sustainable manner. In particular the bilateral contacts in the fields of traditional diplomacy, business, science and culture but also inter-personal relationships are of highest importance in this regard. By keeping this in mind, the members of the Austrian-Canadian Society are trying to be true and good hosts to our Canadian friends.
The Austrian-Canadian Society considers itself to be the central platform for a bilateral exchange / relationships between the two countries and to be constantly trying to deepen as well as improve the friendships and relationships between Austria and Canada. Due to the fact that numerous members of the Austrian-Canadian Society have either lived and/or studied in Canada, they are able to understand Canadian culture and habits, which is essential to building a mutual sense of trust and understanding between the two countries.
The Austrian-Canadian Society tries to be publicly active in the sense that we support our Canadian friends in Austria, as well as help Austrians to establish contacts in and with Canada. Furthermore, it is highly important for us to improve the relationship between the two countries in general. With this in mind, we try to provide more knowledge about Canada in particular in Austria, but also to promote Austria in Canada.
